Chronology of Jeff Fenholt

[This is not a complete history]

1962

Started a band with 'borrowed' sound equipment.

1966-1968

Joined Fifth Order; sang first hit songs: You've Gone Too Far [made Top 10 charts - midwest] and second hit 1000 Devils [Chasin' Me].

1968-1969

Attended Ohio State University in Columbus on a voice scholarship.

Worked with several bands - as vocalist and playing guitar, trumpet, and piano.

1970-1971

Toured for a season with Hair.

1971-1973

Toured with Jesus Christ Superstar National Tour - July 1971-September 1971.

Made his Broadway debut by opening Jesus Christ Superstar at the Mark Hellinger Theatre on October 12, 1971.

Recorded the Jesus Christ Superstar - Broadway Cast album in 1971.

Worked Jesus Christ Superstar [1971-1973] until he ruptured a blood vessel in his stomach - laid up for a year.

1974-1984

Toured with several rock groups, including Armageddon, Spellbinder; and on several rock tours, including the Bible Black Tour in 1983.

Accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into his life in August 1979.

Worked both secular and Christian venues as a vocalist, both with bands and as soloist.

1984-1986

Short season [six months] with Black Sabbath, recorded and co-wrote songs for the Seventh Star album which were cut from the album before its release in 1986.

Toured for six months as a member of Driver [Craig Goldy, Rudy Sarzo, and Tommy Aldridge], no album was recorded.

Recorded Joshua - Surrender in 1986 with Robin Kyle and Joshua Perahia [heavy metal] and toured with Joshua.

1987-1989

Left the secular venues and became a full time Christian singer and minister.

Accompanied evangelist Nicky Cruz and sang as vocalist at his outreaches.

Recorded Testimony Jeff Fenholt , his testimony.

Recorded Fenholt Live , contemporary Christian music.

Wrote tract Out Of Darkness , autobiography.

1990-1991

Toured Australia with a band.

Toured New Zealand as a soloist.

Recorded Hymns I , traditional Christian music.

1992

Recorded Jesus 50's , 'born-again' 50's rock music.

1993

Recorded Fenholt Christmas , mainly traditional Christmas music.

Had vision for the youth, May 29, 1993, which changed Jeff's focus.

1994

Wrote book From Darkness To Light , autobiography.

Recorded [but not released] Son Of Man.

Worked on [but not completed] a Southern Gospel/Country album for TBN.

1995-1996

National Chairman of Youth for Washington For Jesus, 1996.

Recording [but not yet released] a heavy metal album with Craig Goldy.

1997-1999

National Spokesperson and Co-founder of Students For Christ, America .

Recording [but not yet completed] a contemporary rock album with Reggie Vinson.

Recording [but not yet completed] a jazz/blues album for Maurice Starr, one of the producers of BoyzIIMen.

Recorded [1998] Celtic Glory , a collection of 'old' Irish and 'old' English hymns.

2000-

Recorded [2001] Jeff Fenholt Sings The Sacred Classics , classic hymns recorded for TBN.

Recorded [2003] Jeff Fenholt Sings The Christmas Classics, classic Christmas carols recorded for TBN.
