Part Four - January, 1996

Jeff: The Word of God says in Galatians 3:26, For ye are all children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. What does that mean? That means by faith, you've got to receive Him as your Savoir, by faith. You say, 'Well, I don't know what's going on in my life.' Yeah, well, God does. So you need to hook up with Him. What do you think?

Craig: That's right.

Jeff: It's good to be here with you. How've you been? Craig and I have been working on a few things. People have been saying we ought to do an album.

Craig: We're gonna!

Jeff: And we are. We're having fun serving the Lord. We've been doing some concerts, here and there. We were up in New York a while back, there. 15-20,000, I don't know what it was. It was a large crew. Then, I think, Portland. I forget some of the places.

Craig: The outdoor? 10,000.

Jeff: It's been wild. So obviously, music will draw people out. And I praise God that I've been saved, and filled with the Holy Ghost. Man, I'm glad that I walked away from some of the things I walked away from. But you know what? When you walk away from something, that means you're going somewhere. And you gotta just pick where it is your going. 'Cause you don't just walk away from something, unless you're just a flamin' kind of an idiot or somethin'. Just walk away and don't know nothin', man. :) When you walk away, that means you've got a place to go. And where you went, you were raised up as a kid to love God, and then you kinda ....

Craig: Walked away. :)

Jeff: Fell off a cliff! :) You were on the Monsters Of Rock Tour. You were out there every night. Slammin' and crazy with Van Halen and those guys, when you opened for them.

Craig: Yes, in front of 1,000's of people. I had this ridiculous plan that God was raising me up in front of all those people, so it would be attractive for them to talk to me, so I could lead them to the Lord.

Jeff: But nobody ever talked to you about that?

Craig: I lead about ten people out of ten years.

Jeff: You can't be yoked with unbelievers. The thing is when you're going to make a statement, when you're going to make a stand, you have to walk. You have to take a walk. You've got to walk the walk, you've got to talk the talk. And by that I mean, you can't just sit there and somebody says, 'Are you a believer?' You can't go, 'Well, yeah, I'm a believer.' You've got to look clear-eyed in there face. And say, 'I'm a believer.' I've had times when I've been in the prisons. I had a time when I was in the Marline Prison in Texas, a guy came after me. Maybe I shouldn't have named the prison, but I just did. I was in this prison and a guy came after me, man. And he was really very serious about doing me some damage. And he said, right to my face, 'I'm a satanist, man. I'll kill you.' He got heavy with me. Well, I was a little scared, because he was bigger than me and had been lifting weights and stuff. But the truth of the matter was, I knew that he was a satanist and I'm serving God, the God who created heaven and earth. I knew that my daddy can beat up his daddy. :) So, I just said, 'Hey, help me here.' And you know what happened, some of those guys that had come after me (it wasn't just him, but it was a group of guys with him as well, that had apparently had claimed they were going to do a number on me), several of them wound up giving their hearts to the Lord. Tha's cool.

Craig: (After playing Praise Jesus) I lost my way there for a second.

Jeff: You lost your way for about four years. :) Actually, it was more like eight or ten years.

Craig: Ten years, yeah, 'cause you are right. You've got to make a stand. A lot of people don't understand that. They just think, 'Why can't you just be a nice guy? Why can't you just be good?' You leave yourself susceptible for things like that if you don't set in place your eternal destiny. And claim Who you're serving.

Jeff: Who you are and who you're serving. You know, I was just studying. You can tell I'm on an airplane a lot (holding up a manila envelop). I was writing all these Scriptures and different things on here. And it just says in I Corinthians 16:13, Stand firm in the faith. What's you're faith? If you put your faith in anything other than Jesus, man, you're on a slippery rock. I can tell you right now, I'm on the rock that does not roll, the Rock of salvation. And His name is Jesus.

I'd like you to pray out there. First of all, I take authority over every demonic stronghold. And I strike you down in the name of Jesus. And I'm speaking to spiritual principalities and the rulers of the darkness of this world. And I'm telling you now, greater is the God, who created the heavens and the earth, then you devil, who have tried to ascend to the Throne. The Throne belongs to the God Almighty. And I take authority over you demonic powers. And I tell you from the north, the south, the east, and the west, to loose the young people and those who are calling out now in their hearts for the Lord Jesus.

God searches the hearts. He knows the hearts of every person in this country. Everything that was ever created or will ever be created was created through Jesus for Jesus. And it's the Word of God and it's true. People have tried to discredit the Word of God for centuries. Not one word has ever been discredited. Fools will stand and say, 'Well, we've found this or we've found that. And that disputes the Bible.' Or this is myth. Or this is some sort of goofy idea or whatever. But I'm going to tell you somethin'. They're all disproven. And from dusk to dusk so is man, and so are the ideas of man that run contrary to the Word of God. Heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word remains.

And let me tell you, if you're into rock'n'roll, that's fine. But you need to get to the real rock, the God who created you. And you need to stand on the rock of salvation. Now, I'm not going to come against you. I'm not going to tell you to do this or to do that. I'm going to tell you to do what is written in the Bible here. And I'm going to tell you that God has a place for you. Goldy and I know all you rock'n'rollers. We know all you guys from the richest of the rich, to the guys who are down in the streets grubling for gigs. We hear from you. We see you out there in the concerts. I get hundreds and hundreds of letters. One guy, that's sold millions of albums this last year, called. He was having all kinds of problems, was suicidal. Another guy called from another rock group struggling with drugs. One guy that you haven't even heard of yet, that is from a very well known rock group, has just been diagnosed with Aids, a lead singer, from doing drugs intravenously. And we're praying for him. But I'm goin' tell you somethin'. I'm not in a position to judge you. But there is a God, who is in a position to judge you, if you in fact turn away from the Lord. Jesus said, If you will confess Me before men, I will confess you before the angels of Heaven. And conversely, Jesus said, But if you deny Me before men, I will deny you before my Father in Heaven. And then comes the judgment. I'm going to tell you right now, the things that I've done in my life, I wouldn't want them on a monitor going out there to the public. And I'll tell you something else, I also wouldn't want them to be brought up on the day of judgment.

But the sins of my life are under the blood of Jesus. And not only that, but I have the power to overcome. Goldy and I aren't doing drugs. We used to do drugs. Goldy got ripped a few times, when there was some kind of important things going on, which we won't get into. And I'm sure I had my times too. But you know what, we don't need drugs any more. If I needed drugs, I would do them. But I don't need them, because God has delivered me, set me free in my heart. You think I'm a fool? Well, come back and talk to me on the day you stand before God, who created the heavens and the earth. And let's find out who the fool is. I'm going to tell you who the fool is. The fool is any one who will follow the devil to hell, when Jesus paid your price. And He's paid the way out for you, to give you strength and power in your life.

Now, you need to pray. And you need to ask Jesus to deliver you and to save you. Call on Him now. Say, 'Jesus, save me. Wash me in your blood. Heal me. Cleanse me of all my sins. I give you my life. I denounce the devil, and all his works. Write my name in the Book of Life, Lord Jesus. And I will serve you from this day. Protect me and keep me. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.'

Now, if you prayed that prayer, you need to get into a Bible study, or you need to get with people who love God. If you think Goldy and I are strange. Let me tell you somethin'. There are a lot of people serving the Lord coming out of rock'n'roll music.
