I need it. You need it. What I am talking about? Simply put 'faith'. As I look back through the annals of time over my life I am faced with the reality of what I need to propel me into my destiny. The most basic element is faith. Faith was the element that God used to form this world, In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Genesis 1:1-3 God reached out into nothing and formed this world. The bible says, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Hebrews 11:1-3 Notice the words 'Now faith?' there is no comma between these words. That means that this is one singular thought. Think 'Now!!! Faith!' Quick, ready, on guard type of faith. This type of faith is instantaneous. This type of faith sets things in motion.
Life is an adventure without a focused outlook it would be impossible to endure the trials and tribulations that are unavoidable by us all. Hebrews chapter 11 is fully devoted to the subject of faith and walking in it. For by it the elders obtained a good report Hebrews 11:2 The 'it' is faith it was counted as a great thing among our biblical patriarchs and matriarchs. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6 As you look over the champions of faith in Hebrews eleventh chapter notice how the words 'By faith?' through trust in God's promise each person was able to look pass what they see into the fulfillment of the promise. We must look past the blockades, ignore the 'no', and resist the unrelenting temptation to give up. We must run this race that is set before us, Paul said, Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. I Corinthians 9:24 Like a seasoned runner we don't run all out in the beginning, we pace ourselves knowing that this race is not given swift, nor to the battle to strong, but to the one that endures to the end. I know for me there are times when I not sure of what exactly faith is, how to walk in it, or how to increase it when I'm low. One thing I have learned is that we must remain plugged into the Word of God. For example when I feel like I want what the world has I need look no further than Psalm 73. There are multitudes of life changing scriptures to help us remain steadfast and unmovable. Finally, Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. Matthew 21:21 God has given each person his/her own measure of faith. God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Romans 12:3By faith I (insert your name) will move mountains. By faith I (insert your name) will be more than a conqueror. By faith I (insert your name) shall run and not weary, walk and not faint. By faith I (insert your name) will accomplish Your plan for my life. By faith I (insert your name) will walk in peace, joy, and harmony. Let us apprehend all things concerning the will of God for our lives. Let us do this in the faith He has given each of us.
